Good News - Art & Culture - JR's Passion In Art

TED tv 2011 Prize winner JR has spent much of the last six years taking photos of anonymous people and with group support pasting them over buildings, trains and even road ways expressing the faces of people.

I watched the video ... then took the laptop into my wife and we watched it again. Remarkable is just one superlative that easily comes to mind. Absolutely remarkable and a very worthy winner of the TED Prize.

JR's wish as he expressed on TED is: "I wish for you to stand up for what you care about by participating in a global art project, and together we'll turn the world...INSIDE OUT."

His energy and his integrity earn him the TED Prize and the story is worth spreading all around this beautiful planet.

One thing that struck me immediately though ... was the dire poverty in many of the photographs. Knowing that we live in a world on abundance (i.e more life support than we can ever use) these type of pictures really do strike at the core of my humanity.

Without artists like JR ... remember, he says that it is his job to take these pictures, just like you have a job (have you discovered it yet, your true purpose in life?) and I am clear that I have a job to create the structure here on YHP for us, artists, engineers, sales people, healers included to work together and create a world that we can all enjoy fully.

Enjoy the video.
